Madhumalai Reserve Forest

At around 4pm, we started for Madhumalai reserve forest. At the reception, srini and i went to take tickets for safari ride. Mean while others went with the cab to pay road tax. When we took the tickets these people didnt return back so those tickets were wasted. One Old woman who was at the ticket counter didnt take the tickets back and when i tried to give them to others , she signalled the van driver to go... That was really rude....

Anyway when the cab returned back, we took the tickets again and went to safari. This is also just avg. we could find only some elephants and deers....

There was a elephant ride available here but the tickets have to be taken in OOty... pathetic... Who will now go to Ooty to get the tickets?

Later we returned to Resort....

Coming up Nyt Dinner CampFire and OOty Trip....

There is also something about Punnu Swamy....

Pathetic Lunch...

We reached Resort at around 3pm. we completed the lunch within half an hour as we planned to go to MadhuMalai Reserve Forest for Elephant Camp. Lunch Menu is pathetic. Nobody is ever bothered about the lunch as all were tried. Anyway i need to mention the lunch menu items for one reason which we will get to know later ;)
Chapathi, rice two veg and one non veg curry, curd and one sweet.

After lunch, we got refreshed and started to Madhumalali Reserve Forest exactly at 4pm.

Gopala Swamy Betta Temple

Journey along Super Ghat Roads

As we were moving towards to the Temple, which is some 30km away from Bandipur, all the members started sleeping, Srikar took the snap shots of all those who slept in the cab.
we took the right turn from the main road when a mile stone showed temple is 11km away.
As we moved closer, we found a fantastic Ghat Road welcoming us. There was heavy traffic and its a auspicious day.
Srikar venu anjali and i came down from the cab and started moving as rest moved on the cab.
we enjoyed this 3km uphill task. The weather was superb with heavy clouds surrounding. We have taken some cool pics while walking. This turned out to be out trekking event although others missed out.
When we reached the Temple, others were already in the queue. we quietly joined them ;) After darshan we had a photo session at the nearby hill.
This segment ie Hill Top is arguably the best and most enjoyed part of the tour.
At around 2:40pm , we returned back to the Resort for lunch.

At Tiger Ranch

Tiger ranch owner Mr.mahender welcomed us with the bill reciept. He didnt give the room keys until we paid the balance 6500 amt.
Our refreshemnt started with Joy. we went around while brushing. We all gathered for the break fast around 9:30 am.
we have to do justification for the 70 bucks break fast. ;)
Our break fast menu is breads with jam , butter and pickle upma with potato fry curry.
After having coffee we started to GopalaSwamy Hill temple at around 11am.

This resort is a typical Jungle Resort with its owner always saying "We are as we are and we are not going to entertain any of the suggestions given by visitors" Sounds Strange but thats the way its goes....

Surrounded with Thick Jungle all around, the rooms are made of typical bamboo sticks with a limited electricity. There were around dozen dogs to safe guard us. :)

Landed in Bandipur

Finally reached Bandipur at around 5:30 am Satuday Morning.
We waited till 6:30 am to take tickets for the first safari trip. we got the bad news that there is no trekking and jeep safari.
we started our first activity Van Safari at 7 am. There were high expectations from all of us on this Trip. we thought we would find some tigers if not lions.
we couldnt meet our expectations, we found one Elephant troop but disappeared as our van approached them. There were some Forest Bulls and Deers which we found on the way. we could spot one peacock on the exit gate.
Our Safari Trip is just ok.
At around 8 am, we started to TIGER RANCH...(Our Cool Bamboo Resort).
